Motocross Coaching Video - Jumping Step Ups
Step Ups are a fun type of obstacle, lets look at how to attack these elevation changing jumps..

ONE: Pick your line early and make sure it lines you up with a good line for the landing

TWO: You should be able to judge step ups a little easier than most jumps, as you can see where the down ramp is. Step ups also allow you to build up by jumping along the top of the higher section. So take your time to avoid over jumping.

THREE: Up ramps on step ups are generally steeper than most jumps so it's important to let the bike change angle underneath you and not let your weight go too far back as you take off. It the front wheel comes up too high then pull the clutch in and stab the rear brake mid air to help bring the front wheel back down.

FOUR: Make sure you land with the throttle on and drive away from the landing.
