Pre loading is a handy skill to have in your jumping skill set. It will allow you to tackle a larger range of obstacles out on the track.

ONE: Approach in the standing position, as the bike heads up the face of the jump use your body weight to help maximise suspension compression

TWO: While still on the face you need to match the suspension compression with a sharp burst of throttle. The combination of the two will help you take a higher line of flight which in turn will give you more distance.

THREE: Practice this technique on smaller jumps first as mis-timing your body position or throttle use on the up-ramp will cause problems in flight.

FOUR: Only use this technique when you need to, it sends you higher which is slower. Don’t start to use it on every jump, your laps times will increase.
