Berms are probably the most popular choice when it comes to cornering on a motocross track, reason being is they are the easiest way around a corner. Even though it may seem easy drifting wide and hooking around a berm there certainly are options that will help you out.

ONE: Pick the berm up as early as you can. This will open the corner up and allow you to keep maximum speed up.

*See video for reasons to change this approach.

TWO: Pick your braking marker and wash off your speed with control so you don't end up mid turn with the rear wheel locked up and lose all your corner speed.

THREE: Stay standing until you have finished braking or where you think you can get on the gas again. This will normally be from about a quarter of the way to half way through the berm.
