When it comes to part 2 of coaching for front brake skills exercises we are going to take a look at the stoppie. While you may not use this while your out on the motocross track cutting laps it is however very helpful in growing your braking skill and feel. Before you fire straight into the stoppie you want to make sure you have the endo mastered first or you could end up in some trouble. Once you get a feel for this you can continually make it harder by changing the surface you try it on.

ONE: Start off at slow speed in first gear, as you start to get the rear wheel off the ground with some good control then you will need to release a little front brake to allow you to roll along on the front wheel.

TWO: As your speed increases you will need to apply a fairly aggressive amount of front brake initially but be careful as this is an easy point to lock the front wheel and crash.

THREE: Once your feeling confident and are looking for more of a challenge you can either go faster in a higher gear and see how long you can coast on the front wheel for or maybe even try it across the top of a tabletop like you see Boothy doing in the clip.
