Motocross Coaching Video - Basic Jumping
When it comes to basic outdoor style jumps such as ski jumps there are a few tips that will help you out. It is critical that you become confident and build your skill level on theses types of jumps before moving on to anything more technical.

ONE: Choose a nice smooth straight approach to the jump. Avoid any bumps and ruts to start with.

TWO: Keep you body central on the bike. Remember to grip with your legs but stay relaxed at the same time so that you bike can pivot underneath you.

THREE: If you combine a smooth throttle control with a gear that can drive you up and off the jump smoothly you should fly through the air nice and evenly.

FOUR: Roll the gas off in the air but make sure you get back on the gas before landing so that you drive away from the jump.
