Nearly every set of whoops you come across on a motocross track will be different and require a different approach. Here we take a look at Appin Whoops with GYTR Rockstar Yamaha rider Luke Arbon. Some factors that make each set of whoops a little different are 1. How close the corner before is 2. How the track is prepped and how much it is watered 3. The size and space between the whoops 4. How many whoops are in the set 5. Your experience and rider level.

ONE: Your approach is key in nailing a set of whoops. Make sure you get the bike as straight as you can before entering them and make sure you have picked a gear that will carry you all the way through. This will make things safer from the start. try to be standing before you get to them unless you are planning on seat bouncing in.

TWO: You need to decide wether you will skim through, jump through or a combo of both. Make your choice early so you can attack them.

THREE: Look ahead and know where you want to be when you exit the whoops so you can keep the flow of your lap going.
